Policy And Research
Our Expertise
We have over 55 years of frontline experience. This page brings together our research, reports, and consultation responses, and how we use our voice to support change in the sector.
Policy and Influencing Work
55 years on the frontline means we know this sector inside out. We add our voice to campaigns and initiatives where we believe the cause is right and the evidence is strong. And where we see something that needs saying, we say it. We've been part of this sector long enough to know what needs to change. When the homelessness sector speaks, we speak too.
Our published research and consultation responses are listed below. They cover homelessness, sexual exploitation, women in the criminal justice system, drug and alcohol dependency, and more. That body of work continues to inform how we operate and how we advocate for the people we support. Because expertise without action isn't enough.
If you'd like to talk to us about our experience or perspective on any of the issues we work on, we'd welcome that conversation. Get in touch at comms@changing-lives.org.uk

Joining Voices
We have a strong voice across the sectors in which we work and we use it. Sometimes independently, sometimes alongside others. Where collaboration amplifies the impact, we embrace it. Where the evidence points in the same direction, we add our name to it. Because the change we want to see is bigger than any one organisation.
Adult Sexual Exploitation Partnership
Changing Lives is part of the Adult Sexual Exploitation (ASE) Partnership (formerly known as STAGE) a group of eight charities who provide trauma-informed support for women who have been groomed for sexual exploitation. Find out more about the ASE Partnership below.
Transforming Together Network
The Transforming Together Network was a national collaboration dedicated to changing the systems that fail women with multiple unmet needs. Changing Lives was proud to be part of it. The network concluded in 2025, but the work it started continues to shape how we and others in the sector think, advocate, and act.
